Finally the phenomena called Savi Sharma is coming back with her second book, titled This is Not Your Story. Her debut ‘Everyone Has a Story’ showcased an inspirational writer at top of her game. The mysteriously magical and splendid storyline has struck a chord with readers. The quirky quotes in the book drew unequivocal praise from all sections of readers. The characters of ‘Vivaan’ and ‘Meera’ have made their grand entry into Indian fan fiction.
Now that Savi is coming with her second book TINYS, like her other fans my expectation is very high and I am excited like hell!
Hold on, folks. Here is why TINYS damn excites me?
Everyone will agree the name ‘This is Not Your Story’ is a killer title and sounds much better than ‘Everyone Has a Story’. I really hate it; Indian English fiction writers suck big time when it comes to naming their books. Savi seems to have done it right this time. I am eagerly waiting for her to prove the story is not ‘our’ story as the title of the book claims so!
The second noticeable feature in her book is the catchy cover design, which is again better than EHAS, no? The black and sunshine picture of a young man and young girl holding each other’s hands on a railway platform is simply aesthetically beautiful. It has really let loose the imagination of her fans. I imagine it could be heart breaking love story with lots of tears shed before the lovers unite, and of course not without unexpected twists and turns. My apprehension is due to what the officially leaked blurb says:
Sometimes, you do not write your story, it writes you.You don’t choose your story, it chooses you.But would you believe it if someone told you, ‘This Is Not Your Story’? Would you have the courage to rewrite it?
That is a killer blurb, huh!
Thirdly, having found gems of quotes in EHAS, it is natural to expect some inspirational quotes in TINYS too. I am sure Savi is not gonna disappoint her readers in this department as this is her strength. And it is evident from some disclosed quotes. The brand new quotable quotes already have become smash hit. Below are some quotes with my own ideas in the bracket.
You can be afraid, depressed. Life can be unfair. I think the easier thing is to give up – it is far harder to keep going. Find the strength. (Wow! Sounds like when going gets tough, the tough get going!)Don’t give me a forever. Give me an always. (Hmm…I don’t want you to love me forever… I want you to love me always!)Trust your story, it will have a beautiful ending. An end well-earned, an end well-deserved. (After all everyone has a story, no?)
Finally, I am excited because I have fallen in love with her WRITING ( Not with her, my bad!). I have not forgotten the dazzling exuberance of inspirational romance that EHAS was. She is a kinda writer you would love to devour her work in one sitting but only to realise how hard it to find a book in India that excites you like Savi’s does. The girl has market cornered on minds, brawn and balls. She has already become a phenomena and you simply can’t ignore her.
Wait, I am not done yet.
