The way Warriors won the NBA title this year is nothing short of miracle. It looked like ‘God’ himself guided the Warriors to the promised land. While the mortals Warriors haters continued to bitch against the team like cry babies, in the eyes of ‘God’ the so-called super villains and the arrogant warriors pricks were his chosen ones.
Oh Snap, I’m in JNU! by Kev Nayak : Book Review

Notion Press

'Oh Snap, I'm in JNU!' by Kev Nayak is an entertaining and funny read from the beginning to the end. It tells stories of three young men who find themselves in JNU for a post graduation course. They have come to JNU with big dreams in their eyes but JNU messes up everything for them. The only way for them to fight the monster? Will they succeed? Or JNU crush them with its dicta? The book will answer.
The latest entrant in the campus novel category is Kev Nayak’s ‘Oh Snap, I’m in JNU!’. I thought the book is another crap but it turned out to be more than a pleasant and surprising read. The starting is so engrossing that I continued reading for a non-stop seven hours and devoured the small book running some 185 pages.
Oh Shit, Not Again by Mandar Kokate – Book Review

Romance

Its a story of five friends and their trials and tribulations across a period of few months. The central character is Raj who moves into the locality of the novel's setting, meets with the other characters in the book and talks about it in a first person perspective. There are teenage infatuation, confession of love, hyperactive male libido and the dependence on playboy and Pamela Anderson. There are ample incidents that points towards authors belief in voyeuristic pleasure that every growing up male enjoys while catching others having sex or just deep diving at the hint of cleavage. But are they intrinsic to the plot or need of the story, I will leave you to decide that.
Don’t go by shitload of negative reviews about the book on the web. Many of them gave the book one star and some even wished there was some system of negative reviews. So that they would have given negative reviews to the book.
From the outset I want to remind you that ‘Oh Shit, Not Again!’ by Mandar Kokate is a National Best seller and the book is still selling well despite so many negative reviews and nasty comments. After reading the book I too had the urge to speak craps about the book and condemn the author. Later I had a realisation and focussed on positive things in the book. [Read more…]
5 Absolutely Best Books of Lee Child
It is just over one year since I have fallen in love with Lee Child’s books. It really feels so nostalgic sometimes to revisit some of the epic events in his books. I just can’t get over the dramatic duel between Reacher and Deputies of the small town Despair in the book Nothing to Lose. The memory Reacher single handedly taking down lot of bad guys in Worth Dying For gives me goosebumps even today. I just can’t forget the character Leela Hoth of Gone Tomorrow. I wish the womaniser Reacher bedded her!

A Short Letter to Swara Bhasker from a JNUite
Dear Swara Bhasker,
Let me introduce myself first as I don’t want you to keep guessing about my identity while you read. Okay! I’m Ravikant Kalra and I have studied in JNU, and guess what, in the same Department as you studied – Centre for Study of Social System. During my JNU days I had no political affiliation though my ideology somewhat leaned towards leftist and centrist. My intention is not to confront you through this letter but point to the shortcomings of your ideas, strictly as per my personal conviction.
A Liberal Defends Rohit Sardana
A massive outrage over a Rohit Sardana’s simple but logical tweet has erupted across country. Muslims joined by few Christians are up in arm. They are terming the tweet as blasphemous. Meanwhile Rohit Sardana, who is a journalist with Aajtak TV, has made public extremely abusive and offensive messages he received. It is sad and disturbing that he has been also receiving death threat for merely expressinag his view.
